About RestoSync

A commission-free, offline-first restaurant platform built by ByteRiver — so independent restaurants keep their margins, their customers, and their control.

Why we built RestoSync

Running an independent restaurant today means getting squeezed from both ends.

On one side, the delivery aggregators. A "free listing" on Zomato or Swiggy comes with an effective commission of 20-30% on every delivery order — and closer to 40% once you add the promotions you need just to stay visible. Worse, they keep the customer. You never find out who ordered, so you can't bring them back on your own, and price-parity expectations make it hard to reward loyal guests directly.

On the other side, the software. A traditional POS stack usually means a licence plus per-module add-ons plus Rs 15,000-50,000 of hardware you are told to buy, often behind an annual contract and a separate maintenance fee — and the price climbs every time you add an outlet or a terminal.

Add it up and a small restaurant can lose close to a third of its revenue to commissions while still paying a premium just to run the till. That math doesn't work for the people doing the hardest work in the business. RestoSync exists to fix the bigger half of it: your own orders carry no commission at all, and the software costs the same flat amount whether you take fifty orders a day or five hundred.

What RestoSync does

RestoSync is one platform that runs the whole restaurant — from the counter to the cloud, and from the kitchen to the customer's phone. Instead of stitching together a POS, a kitchen display, an inventory tool, an accounting export, a loyalty app and an online-ordering plugin, it's a single system that shares one set of data.

It runs on: - An offline-first desktop POS for Windows and macOS - Native Android apps for staff and delivery drivers - RestoSync Food, a consumer app where guests discover and order from you directly

What's inside: - Billing, KOT and counter operations, with a real-time kitchen display (KDS) - Tables and floor management, plus QR guest ordering with tipping and live order tracking - Staff management, individual logins and ratings - Menu photos and dish allergen information - Inventory, BOM and supplier management - Accounting built for India — GST, GSTR and Tally-ready - Analytics and an AI copilot: a daily brief, demand forecasting, menu engineering, and an "ask" assistant - Your own delivery — dispatch, live GPS tracking and cash-on-delivery through the RestoSync Driver app - Loyalty and CRM, table reservations, and WhatsApp notifications - Multi-region support for India, the GCC and APAC, with offline-first sync throughout

Because it's offline-first, the POS keeps taking orders when the internet drops and syncs automatically the moment you're back online — so you never lose a sale to a bad connection.

Commission-free by design

The part that changes the economics is RestoSync Food. When a guest orders from you through it, you pay 0% commission on your own orders — against the effective 20-30% the big aggregators take on delivery.

Just as important, you keep what those platforms hold back: - Your customer data stays yours — names, orders and history you can actually use to bring people back - No price-parity clauses dictating what you can charge on your own channels - No contract lock-in — you're never tied in for a year just to leave - No hardware lock-in — it runs on the Windows or macOS machines you already have

The goal isn't to replace every channel overnight. It's to give you a direct one you fully own, so a bigger share of every order stays inside your restaurant.

Honest pricing, no surprises

RestoSync is sold as a plain monthly plan — Rs499, Rs1,299 or Rs2,499 a month per outlet, plus GST, with two months free if you pay yearly. Start with 14 days free; no card is taken.

We used to be free, funded by a 1% share of sales. It sounds generous and for a busy restaurant it was the opposite: a kitchen doing Rs6 lakh a month paid us Rs6,000 for software worth far less than that to them, and the bill grew every time they had a good month. A flat plan is the honest version — for most restaurants it is cheaper, and for all of them it is predictable.

  • Your own delivery, QR and counter orders still carry 0% commission. So does a RestoSync Food order. That has not changed and will not.
  • No card on file and no auto-charge. Each period we issue an invoice and you pay it yourself.
  • Cancel any time. It takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing is deleted.
  • No lifetime licence to buy, and no separate AMC or maintenance fee.

Compare that with the alternatives. Aggregators take an effective 20-30% on every delivery order and keep the customer. A per-order cut grows with your success; a flat plan does not.

Our mission

RestoSync is built and maintained by ByteRiver.

Our mission is simple: help independent restaurants keep their margins, their customers and their control.

Keep your margins, because a commission-free direct channel and a flat monthly price leave more of every order in your business. Keep your customers, because their data belongs to you, not to a marketplace that rents it back. Keep your control, because there's no contract lock-in, no hardware you're forced to buy, and no algorithm deciding whether your regulars can find you.

Independent restaurants are what make a neighbourhood worth living in. They shouldn't have to hand a third of their revenue to someone else just to stay open. That's the problem we're here to change.
